                  How We're Making a

                     Difference  

        We are an unincorporated community organization that provides volunteer opportunities for people in the Longfellow Neighborhood to make a meaningful difference in their community.  We are focused on helping make the world around us a better, more environmentally friendly, litter-free place to live and work. 

        This will be our second year of picking up litter in the community and our first year of having organized cleaning events to clean our local streets of litter. Seven out of eight of the cleaning events every month are supporting the Adopt a Street program of Minneapolis.   We strive to maintain the Longfellow Neighborhood litter free, and we are doing our best to make this dream a reality.  While we are starting off as a small, unincorporated organization, we hope to make a difference in the community with our mission to change littering habits, and to create a cleaner environment for everyone to live and work in at the same time.

     How You Can Get Involved

       You can volunteer your time, make a donation to the association, or spread our mission through word of mouth. We will be doing cleaning events most Thursday's and Friday's from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. from April until the middle of November.   It is great exercise and a great way to give back to your community. By signing up for 2 or more clean-ups a year, you become a member of Longfellow Litter Free Neighborhood association and support our mission to maintain a litter free neighborhood in an environmentally friendly way.  We're excited to have you join the team!
