Longfellow Litter Free Neighborhood Association is participating in Minneapolis' Clean City Program by adopting seven streets in the Longfellow Neighborhood. We have adopted 28th street east, 29th street east, 31st street 32 street east,33rd street east, and 34th street east from 26th avenue South or Minnehaha Avenue until 38th avenue South. We have also adopted Hiawatha Avenue from Cedar Avenue to 35th street east. For each clean up event the wagon puller will start at the starting point shown on the map below and we will work our way to the ending point following the route on the map below. You will be invited to spend as much time as you can volunteering for the day. Just make sure to return your safety vest, buckets, and litter grabber when you are finished for the day. All people younger than the age of 18 will be required to be supervised by a guardian. With the setup we currently have, supplies can be provided for three people. This is the map of the different routes for the clean-up events on Thursday's and Friday's. These are the meeting spots and ending spots. 1. 28th Street East and 26th Ave. South 2. 29th Street East and 26th Ave. South 3. 31st Street East and Minnehaha Ave. 4. 32nd Street East and Minnehaha Ave. 5. 33rd Street East and Minnehaha Ave. 6. 34th Street East and Minnehaha Ave. on the Northeast side for the 34th Street clean-up, and 7. the Southwest side of 34th Street East and Minnehaha Ave. for the clean-up of the area between Hiawatha and Minnehaha Ave. 8. The meeting spot for the Hiawatha Ave. clean-up is at the Northwest corner of Hiawatha Ave., and 35th Street East.
